Museums & Art Centres
National Museum of Archaeology, established in 1923, is dedicated to several cultural periods in Poland through different permanent exhibitions, as well as temporary exhibitions. The museum is located in the old arsenal, built on order of king Władysław IV Waza in 17th century.

The exhibition called „Prehistory of Polish Lands” covers the period of the stone age until the medieval period. The exhibition "Biskupin" is primarily addressed to kids and school children for whom coming to the exhibition is often the first contact with the archeology. The exhibition 'ABC of Romanesque Architecture' explains the most important architectural concepts and terminology related to the early medieval stone architecture. The 'ABC of Gothic is an educational exhibition, directed mainly to the school children already having some knowledge of history.
