Oxford Botanic Garden & Harcourt Arboretum

Gardens & Parks
Oxford Botanic Garden was founded in 1642 at the oldest University of the UK. It has always been considered as a world class institution. The University acquired the 53 ha (130 acres) Harcourt Arboretum in 1947.

Set in a beautiful landscape, the latter contains first-class conifer collections.

The garden contains inspiring herbaceous borders, seven glasshouses and 6,000 different types of plants.

The combined entity is a tremendous opportunity for botanic experiments, research and education for existing and future botanists.
