The Paklenica National Park is one of the eight stunningly beautiful national parks in Croatia. Paklenica National Park covers 95 km² and consists of two dolomite limestone canyons called Velika (big) Paklenica & Mala (small) Paklenica. The park is the most visited climbing area in the country, and popular with speleologists, alpinists, hikers and herb collectors.
There is a number of bike paths, which are also used as educational routes.
The highest peak is the Vaganski Vrh at 1757 meters. 75% of the national park is forest, which is primarily beech and black pine.
