Parc Floral, Ecuries & Musée des Calèches d'Apremont

Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks, Museums & Art Centres
Parc Floral d'Apremont and the Museum-stables are located in Apremont-sur-Allier, a stunning and extraordinairy beautiful village.

However it was the Schneider/de Brissac family (Le Creusot) who, as owners of the estate, renovated completely the village during the first part of the 20th century. Their descendants still live in the château.

The Parc Floral d'Apremont was created by Gilles de Brissac in 1977, and contains many varieties and species of trees, plants and flowers from all over the world.

The Museum/Stables is housing a unique collection of 19th century carriages, including the large berlin carriage used to transport the Creusot workers’ pay.
