The Sabauda Gallery
Castles & Country Houses, Museums & Art Centres
The Sabauda Gallery, dating back to 1832 and since 2014 located in the Manica Nuovo (“New Wing”) of the Palazzo Reale, displays the art collections brought together by the Royal House of Savoy, including a great quantity of Italian, Dutch and Flemish masters.
The collection, as it is viewed today, is a unification of the collection of Eugene of Savoy (1663-1736), art works from the Royal Palace in Turin, the picture gallery of the Savoy-Carignano, and works from the Palazzo Durazzo of Genoa.
Today the museum is part of the Musei Reali di Torino (Royal Palace, the Sabauda Gallery, the Archaeological Museum, the Armoury and the Royal Library).
