The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens & Arboretum
Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens cover 72 ha and were developed by the English horticulturist (1905 – 1985). The estate, with Jermyn's House at its centre, dates back to early 18th century. During its history it has been owned by several private owners.
Sir Harold had acquired the house and grounds in 1953, but the estate was given to the Hampshire County Council in 1977, in order to be managed as a charitable trust.
