Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks
Furzey Gardens, now part of the the Minstead Trust, were created in 1922 by the Dalrymple family around a 16th century cottage. It is a heathland and woodland garden, with a wide range of trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials, such as Acers, Rhododendrons and Primulas.

After the war years it was too difficult to maintain the garden, however the rescue came from a local young solicitor, Tim Selwood, who got the idea to set up a Charitable Trust allowing disabled youngsters to get work-experience through maintenance of the gardens.

Today each week, the Head Gardener Pete White leads a team of approximately 30 people with learning disabilities and 20 volunteers, to maintenance of the gardens and bring the plants in the Nursery.

Furzey Nursery and the Gallery Gift and Coffee Shop.

Minstead Lodge, also managed by the Minstead Trust, is a venue for corporate and private events such as conferences, weddings...
