The Civic Aquarium of Milan, built in 1905 and housed in a beautiful Art Nouveau building, is the third oldest aquarium in Europe. The aquarium has over 100 different types of underwater life, including a new section dedicated to the marine world, and another dedicated to fishing.
The facade of the aquarium includes a Neptune statue, the Roman god of water and the sea, created by sculptor Oreste Labò.
