Dawyck Botanic Garden

Dawyck Botanic Garden is surrounding Dawyck House. The estate goes back to 13th century, but the present house dates from the 1830s. It has been in the hands of the Veitch and Balfour families. Since 1978 it is functioning as Dawyck Botanic Garden under the Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh.
The garden covers 26.3 ha (65 acres) and include plants from the mountainous regions of Europe, China, Nepal, Japan and North America.
