Domaine de Saint-Cloud, covers 460 hectares and is one of the most famous French estates. It was created in the 16th century and embellished for Monsieur, the brother of Louis XIV by his architects Le Pautre and Hardouin-Mansart.
Queen Marie-Antoinette carried out additional modifications and it stayed a royal summer residence until 1870, when the château burnt down.
The park contains the French garden (Andre le Notre), a great baroque cascade, an English garden, and Marie Antoinette's rose garden.
The domaine houses the Musée Historique de Saint-Cloud.
