Inner and Middle Temple Gardens

Inner and Middle Temple date back to the Knight's Templar and Knights Hospitallers. The Temple was seized by Henry VIII in 1540 and belongs since then to the Crown. The site is in the hands of the barristers.
The Temple Church is still a "Royal Peculiar", which means extra-diocesan.
The beautiful gardens include a series of courtyards and one substantial formal garden.
