Gardens & Parks, Museums & Art Centres
The Irish National Stud is home of the most magnificent horses, a small Horse Museum, and the glorious Japanese Gardens & the St. Fiachra's Garden.

The Japanese Gardens were made by Japanese designers (1906-10) for a wealthy Scotsman, Colonel William Hall Walker, and symbolise through trees, plants, flowers, lawns, rocks and water, the ‘Life of Man’. The gardens were laid out by Japanese master horticulturist Tassa Eida and his son Minoru.

St. Fiachra's Garden was created to celebrate the Millennium and was designed in 1999 by award-winning landscape architect Professor Martin Hallinan. It has 4 acres of Woodland & lakeside walks.
