Muncaster Castle is owned and lived-in by the Pennington family -Barons of Muncaster- for over 800 years. With its stunning collections and beautiful gardens, Muncaster is a major attraction for tourists and events, including Falconry and Haunting experience.
The gardens include a Georgian Terrace of mile long with summerhouses and views of the Lakeland Fells, a large Himalayan Garden with an important collection of species rhododendrons, vegetable, herb and physic gardens and a Plant Centre.
