The Park of the Royal Baths - Lazienki Park, is a Park-and-Palace complex on 76 hectares, and one of the largest parks of this kind in the world. It serves as a venue for music, the arts, and culture.

Created in the 17th century for Stanislaw Lubomirski it was fundamentally redesigned for Stanisław August Poniatowski, the Poland's king in 18th century.

The king made it a setting for palaces, villas, classicist follies and monuments. The Royal Łazienki was the first modern museum open to the public. 

It was designed by Domenico Merlini, Johann Christian Kammsetzer and the landscape designer, Jan Schuch Chrystian.

The main features are:

  • The Palace on the Isle, the Lazienki Palace, housing the Royal Picture Gallery.
  • The Old Orangerie, housing the Royal Sculpture Gallery; 
  • The Myslewicki Palace, in which original polychromes by Jan Bogumił Plersch were preserved.
  • The Amphitheatre.

The beautiful gardens include the Royal Garden, the Romantic Garden, the Modernist Garden and the Chinese Garden.
