The People's Palace and Winter Gardens

Gardens & Parks, Museums & Art Centres
The People’s Palace, located in the historic Glasgow Green and dating back to 1898, tells the story of Glasgow's citizens daily life from 1750 to the present day through a collection of objects, photographs, prints and film.

The museum includes the restored Winter Gardens with glasshouse and gardens, whereas in front of the museum you can admire the Doulton Fountain, which is the largest terracotta fountain in the world. It was donated to the city by Sir Henry Doulton (industrialist Royal Doulton) for Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.
