Somerleyton Hall, although dating back to 1240, the present building is an early Victorian mansion. Since 1863 it is in the hands of the Crossley family and presently the home of Hugh Crossley, 4th Baron Somerleyton and his family.
The House, with its beautiful collections, and 4.9 ha (12 acres) of gardens including glasshouses by Paxton, are open to the public.
