Spanish Steps

Monuments & Sites
Spanish Steps date back to 1723-1726, and were designed by Baroque architects Specchi and de Sanctis. The purpose was to link the Spanish Embassy and the Trinità dei Monti church, with the Holy See in Palazzo Monaldeschi.

The steps have been restored several times in history, however they had to restored again in modern times and reopened in 2016.
