Erddig Hall

Erddig Hall was built between 1684-1687, and has been enlarged in 1720. In 1733 it came into the hands of the Yorke family by inheritance, until Philip Scott Yorke gave it in 1973 to the National Trust.

The house contains a fine collection of furniture, textiles, portraits and other objects of art. It is surrounded by a 486 hectares (1,200 acres) landscape park and a fully restored 18th century garden, including formal hedges, herbaceous borders, fruit trees...
