Speke Hall is a rare Tudor timber-framed manor house, built by the Catholic Norris family. It was constructed in 1530 and stayed until in the first half of the 20th century, by inheritance, in the Watt family.
Thereafter it became in the hands of the National Trust, who has carried out substantial restorations.
The beautiful restored gardens date mainly from the 1850s.
Speke Hall is also a wedding venue.
