Forty Hall, set on the site of the Former Elsyng Palace, which belonged to Henry VIII and was also a childhood residence of Elizabeth I and Edward IV, features a permanent exhibition telling the story of Forty Hall & Estate through the families who lived here, from Master Haberdasher and Lord Mayor of London Sir Nicholas Rainton in 1629 to the Parker-Bowles family in the mid-20th century.
The 111 ha (273 acres) Estate includes a walled garden, formal and informal gardens, lakes, lawns, and meadows.
The Hall is also a venue for events, such as luncheons, weddings....
