Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
Ham House's history is closely linked to the Tollemache family, and in particular the Duchess of Lauderdale (1626-1698) and her husband. Ham House was donated to the National Trust in 1948 by Sir Lyonell Tollemache, 4th Baronet of Hanby Hall and his son.

The house contains a magnificent collection of furniture, paintings and other objects of art.

The house is surrounded by 17th century gardens.
