Ickworth House

Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
Ickworth House, built between 1795 and 1829, was the residence of the Marquess of Bristol (Hervey family), whereas the estate itself has been in their hands since 1467. Ickworth is since 1998 owned by the National Trust.

The House contains the stunning family collection of paintings, portraits, porcelain, furniture, the best collection of Georgian silver...

The park was designed by Lancelot Brown in 1769, and has also later additions such as the 'Italian garden' and other Victorian gardens.

The Ickworth Church, where most of the Hervey family are buried, remains in the hands of the family.
