Melford Hall
Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
Melford Hall dates back to the 16th century and has been in the hands of the Parker Baronets from 1786 until 1960, when it was taken into the care of the National Trust. However it is still inhabited by the family.
The house contains an interesting family collection of furniture, paintings, portraits, naval paintings, porcelain and many other items like sketches from Beatrix Potter, who was a cousin of the family and was a frequent visitor to Melford Hall.
The surrounding grounds are ideal for country walks.
