The Museum of Clocks, part of the Bratislava City Museum, is located in an exceptional narrow Baroque building. It was constructed in 1760–1765 and commissioned by the notable Bratislava master-mason Matej Hollrigl.
The house is a small treasure of Central European burgher architecture.
The museum tells the story of clockmaking from the end of the 17th to the end of the 19th centuries. The collection comprises is a unique set of mobile sun-dials from the 17th-18th centuries, various types of portable and wall clocks, alarm clocks and some examples of wrist watches. Most of the exhibits are signed by Bratislava master clockmakers.
