Norton Priory Walled Garden & Museum

Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks, Museums & Art Centres
Norton Priory, today a museum, consists of the remains of a priory from the 12th to the 16th centuries, a 1.2 ha (3 acres) walled garden and an 18th century Georgian country house.

The Augustinian abbey was closed in 1536 and the site was acquired by the Brooke family, which left the house in 1921. It was partially broken down in later years, and he site was given in trust for general public interest.

Today the museum trust organises cultural and educational events, whereas the walled gardens have been redesigned and contain an orchard, a fruit garden, a vegetable garden, various ornamental borders and the beautiful Rose Walk.

Norton Priory is also a venue for TV, Film & Photo shooting, and weddings.
