Portmeirion Gardens

Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks
The Portmeirion estate was acquired by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis in 1925 with the objective to develop the site as a 'British Potofino' (Italian Riviera). He continued developing Portmeirion until 1970. Today it is owned and managed by a y a charitable trust.

The Trust is managing the majority of the buildings as hotel rooms or self-catering cottages, together with shops, a cafe, tea-room, a restaurant and the castle 'Castell Deudraeth', dating from the 12th century.

The 28 ha (70 acres) of grounds include an important collection of Rhododendrons and exotic plants. Sir Clough continued the work of previous owners.

Portmeirion is also a venue for TV, Film & Photo shooting, corporate and private events, such as weddings...

Day visitors are allowed against an entrance fee.
