Richmond Park, covering 1,012 ha (2,500 acres) is one of London’s eight Royal Parks. It dates back to the 17th century, when it was created for Charles I, as a deer park.
Richmond Park is a National Nature Reserve, London's largest Site of Special Scientific Interest and a European Special Area of Conservation.
