Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks, Museums & Art Centres
The Music Museum at the Manor house of Dolná Krupá, is the second location of the SNM-Music Museum and part of the Slovak National Museum. The mansion is supposed to have a historic link with Beethoven.

Its history is connected with the aristocratic Brunsvik family. According to a family tradition, he composed his Moonlight sonata here. Beethoven's memory at Dolná Krupá is captured mainly in the memorial room in the baroque gardener's house.

The last aristocratic owner of the manor house Mária Henrieta Choteková (1863 – 1946) had the largest rosarium in Central Europe. She was growing more than 6 000 roses, and exported them into Europe, the USA and Canada. The museum organizes every year the musical event "Celebration of Roses" in honour of the countess.

The mansion, built in the 18th century in classical style, is surrounded by an English landscape park.
