Winckworth Arboretum
Gardens & Parks
Winckworth Arboretum was created by Dr Wilfrid Fox, at the beginning of the 20th century. It houses an important collection of shrubs and trees from over 1000 species. The Arboretum is managed by the National Trust.
The visitor can enjoy the pleasant woodland garden, including two lakes, the rhododendrons, azaleas, bluebells...as did Gertrude Jekell when she lived here as a girl.
