Coleton Fishacre
Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
Coleton Fishacre was built in the 1920s as a country retreat for Sir Rupert and Lady D'Oyly Carte. The house, with its Art Deco elegance and Jazz Age atmosphere, is surrounded by a magnificent woodland garden.
The architect was a former assistant to Edwin Lutyens, Oswald Milne.
The garden includes ponds, plants from different parts of the world, views to the sea...
Since 1982, Coleton Fishacre is in the hands of the National Trust.
