Raynham Hall

Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks, Music, Private Collections
Raynham Hall, a Jacobean house and completed in 1637, has been for nearly 400 years the seat of the Townshend family. It was designed and built by Sir Roger Townshend with his Master Mason William Edge.

The House and grounds are occasionally open on Open Days.

Raynham Hall is well known for its Recital Weekends, held in the Great Hall, twice a year in July and September.

It became one of the most famous hauntings when photographers from Country Life magazine claimed to have captured the image of the "Brown Lady".

Raynham Hall is a venue for the 'Raynham Recitals', held in the Great Hall.
