The House is privately owned and inhabited by the Hon. John Rous, great-grandson of Prime Minister H.H. Asquith and son of the 5th Earl of Stradbroke. Consequently, only the garden is open to the public.

The charming village of Clovelly is also part of the Clovelly Estate and has been used in many film productions.
